Site link  for the Office of  Information Technology home page.

Including the rotating images section and the tweet channel, there were 28 images when I took this snap.

Total size: 443 kb. Most of the logo and icon images are in the  4 – 6 kb range. The rotating images are larger. The largest was 75 kb.

Images are used both for navigation (the  rotating images are links) and to add visual interest.

You can navigate the site without images; but it is not aesthetically    pleasing.

  1. I wouldn’t have guessed there were so many images on this page by just looking at it. The embedded sprite image is particularly interesting.

Aside from the page’s aesthetic qualities when the images are turned off, do you think someone would still be able to navigate the site? Thanks for sharing!
