I check nba.com with Firefox as my browser. There were 141images for a total file size of 885KB. You can still navigate the site even with the images turned off. Most of the images size were from 1KB to 11KB.The type of images were JPEG, PNG and GIF. The images are sharp and they are used as a menu button (short cut) to take you to that particular article.
