This is the Steam Store front page which is a page I used quite often when looking up or purchasing games. It has a nice dark theme that is easy on the eyes and it’s simple design and large boxes make it easy to navigate. There are a total of 234 images total according to the Web Developer extension. It couldn’t detect the cumulative file size of the images, but each image ranged from less than 1 kb to 140 kb, so all together the images are approximately 30 mb. Most of the images are used to show what game is being displayed, followed by screenshots or the gameplay. The rest of the images are navigation buttons and links. I am still able to navigate the site quite well without images because many of the navigation buttons have text on them. I think the use of images on this site is quite successful, it catches interest by being large and colorful, and makes the site simple to browse and navigate through.
